Abstract
The rapidly changing use of technology both in education and all other professions has educators, administrators, and communities searching for solutions on how to make technology "fit" in their respective school districts. It (is) no longer acceptable to be an observer of the information and technological revolution (Richman, 1995). As schools attempt to conquer this matter, the question of "how will technology improve our school" is frequently asked.
As studies and researchers have proven, there is a direct relationship between student achievement and technology. It now becomes the role of these same educators, administrators, and community members to implement a plan of action for the district. A committee consisting of educators, one or two administrators, parents/community members, and students should be organized with the sole purpose of discussing the issue of how technology will improve their school district and how it should be implemented in that particular district. Members of this group do not need to be considered technology "gurus." Simply, the members need to have a genuine concern about the education of their children/students with the use of technology and the role of technology in the school district.
