Abstract
"Technology" is often spoken of as something new. There are many new technologies but technology is not new. Textbooks, VCRs, mimeograph machines, slide rules, typewriters, film strips, and slates were each a new technology. Each of these is an example of past educational technology which was or is considered necessary for the education program. Educational technology of the future is: electronic tools and training necessary to assist learners to access, communicate, manipulate, apply, and use information.
