Abstract
It has become clear to me that schools must form partnerships with businesses and organizations in their communities to do the best job of making appropriate technologies available to their students. This is no longer merely an option or just an idea to consider. School districts across the country are creating these symbiotic relationships and it appears the advantage that accrues to them is almost immeasurable. This looks like one of those opportunities that is truly a "win-win" strategy. Students, parents, teachers, administrators, school boards, city and county governments, local libraries, private industries, universities, and social service agencies have all participated in some of these partnerships and each appears to have reason to expect appropriate benefits.
