Abstract

Curriculum integration of any new technology evolves slowly. The pace of integration depends on the interests, technological skills, and teaching styles of the educators involved. Teachers interested in new approaches and unafraid of the technology will be the first to integrate Internet information or activities into the curriculum. These educators must first of all be searching for new and more effective methods of teaching. Teachers who have restructured their classroom into activity/participation-based instruction and have already begun to modify their role from the "holder of the knowledge" to the facilitator will most likely be the ones ready to integrate Internet into the instruction.
