Abstract

Educators cannot make the changes that must take place in the coming years to reform American schools without considering technology. New curriculums integrated with the use of technology to teach, assess, and monitor student achievement must be coupled with new visions about the role of teachers and students. Technology has to play an important and integral role in changing the educational process.

In this paper I will cite examples of how technology is and can be used by practitioners to access, monitor, and report student progress; thus, illustrating and supporting my perspective for the inclusion of technology in educational reform.
