Abstract
Recently we celebrated Martin Luther King's birthday and he had a dream-all people would be treated equally. I believe he wanted all to have advantages and chances to be successful. Arthur Ashe, also a leader for equal opportunities and having patience for all, knew each wild mistake is necessary for children to learn. However, I guess we have not learned this and probably never will. Facilitators have actually succeeded at raising the standards of all individuals and not just a select few. I really do not have time for the teachers who feel only a select few should enjoy the cream and the rest of us last year's leftovers. Sometimes I feel that possibly these skeptic teachers cannot work with all students, they can only work with a few. We tend to blame the problems on socio-economic status and cultural diversity. The real cause is the differential treatment students receive from these skeptic teachers. We spend so much time changing the students and their behavior or the structure in which we work (grouping-compacting-TAG) we forget where the problem really lies.
