Abstract
Public support for schools has always played a key role in developing and maintaining quality educational programs. Without positive support it would be nearly impossible to carry out the desired everyday activities and classroom instructional programs for all students.
This support, whether it be in the form of volunteering, financing, or just vocal encouragement becomes even more important when the economy takes a downturn and school funding is decreased. When cuts are made at the state level, it is important to muster support locally to assist in maintaining the essential programs, activities, and services. This is when the positive link with community members is even more important.
