UNI Students Saved $421,452 in Textbook Costs
August 2017
UNI students saved $421,452 in textbook (required and supplemental) costs last year, 2018/19, due to open textbook adoptions at the University of Northern Iowa. The savings for required textbooks was $342,517 and the savings for supplemental textbooks was $78,935.
2017-2018: UNI students saved $220,338 in textbook costs.
2016-2017: UNI students saved $129,715 in textbook costs.

UNI to Offer an Open Textbook Network Workshop this Fall
August 2016
The workshop will offer an introduction to open textbooks and how they benefit students both financially and academically. Participants will receive a $200 stipend for attending the workshop and writing a short review of an open textbook. All UNI faculty are encouraged to apply, see application form.
