Abstract
Comissioned [sic]by President Carter, the Global 2000 Report To The President (1982), stated that for hundreds of millions of the desperately poor, the outlook for food and other necessities of life will be no better in the year 2000. For many it will be worse. Life for most people on earth will be more precarious in 2000 than it is now unless nations of the world act decisively to alter current trends.
