Statement of the problem. This study is designed to compile information concerning federal assistance to public libraries in the State of Iowa, in a form which will indicate clearly and immediately the purpose and procedures for requesting such assistance, The data is organized in the following catagories: (1) purpose of the assistance, (2) authorizing legislation, (3) eligibility requirements, and (4) application process.
