Organizing a Community Resource File for the IMC

Abstract

The IMC should have a file of the resources in the community, and perhaps the surrounding area of outside persons and materials, that can be used in connection with a classroom program, Such a file located in the IJVIC would be accessible to all the professional staff in the building and be valuable to a newcomer on the staff.

A file as a guide to community resources that can be used as instructional materials should be located with the rest of the instructional materials in the IMC.

This paper presents some suggestions as how to find the community resources and how to organize a file of such in the IMC.
