Fass Exhibition Posters

This is a collection of exhibition posters created by Philip Fass, UNI Emeritus Professor of Art (Graphic Design). Philip Fass taught graphic design in the UNI Department of Art from 1991 until his retirement in 2020. Originally from Wisconsin, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

While teaching at UNI for nearly 30 years, he was especially known for his courses in typography, design-based problem-solving, and innovative book design. Over the years he and his students were recipients of a long list of prestigious graphic design awards, both regional and national.

During his years on the UNI faculty, Professor Fass frequently provided the Department of Art and the Gallery of Art with his skills as a print designer, pro bono, without compensation. The posters, mailing cards, and other printed items on this site are only a few of the works he produced in that capacity.
