Abstract

Using a literature analysis, this paper explores the relationships between empowering Human Resource Management (HRM), HRM practices, and Faculty Job Performance (FJP) at UAE universities. The proposed conceptual model delves into the impact of empowering HRM and HRM practices on FJP, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding the dynamics within this context. The HRM practices examined in this study are recruitment and service end, training, performance appraisal, promotion, and compensation. Researchers evaluate the gap between the study's theoretical assumptions. The literature analysis results reveal that empowering HRM practices has a relationship with HRM practices and (FJP). The study suggested theoretical and practical implications for higher education institutions in terms of empowering HRM and tailoring HRM practices to the context and needs of the universities, The findings of this study implied that chancellors and senior management of higher education institutions should focus on empowering HRM members by providing them with opportunities to participate in decision-making, influence university policies, and take ownership of their work.
