Scalar-Meson-Dominance Description Of The Decay ′→+2Π

Abstract
A scalar-meson-dominance model is used to describe the decay ′(10.0)→(9.4)+2π. This model in which the ε(800) and ε′(1425) couple derivatively to pions leads to both an invariant dipion mass spectrum in agreement with the recent results from CESR and DORIS and an estimated value of the Dalitz slope parameter (α) of -0.53. A similar description is given for the pionic decay modes of the ′′(10.4). © 1982 The American Physical Society.
