Abstract
Mini-replications are alternatives to traditional research papers assigned in college- and university-level teacher education classes. This activity calls for students to select a research report, design a small-scale replications study, and report the project in a fashion parallel to the original model. Mini-replications are novel, they promote deep understanding of a topic, and they provide firsthand experiences with research processes. Studies recommended for mini-replications as part of reading/language arts teacher education classes are included. © 1985 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
