Abstract
Three leading school social work journals that publish book reviews were studied to determine profiles of book review authors. Authors' characteristics were relatively homogeneous within each journal, but varied among journals. Opportunities exist for book review authors. The role and function of book and other media reviews are questioned. © 1989 The British Occuptional Hygiene Society.
