Abstract

The IASDT (Integrated Authoring System for Diagnostic Testing) is a flexible, extensible authoring system designed to support the Mathematics Diagnostic Extension Project (MDE). MDE is a test suite designed to assess students' weakness and strengths in precalculus level math skills and provide this information to academic advisors. The MDE is implemented as an instance of a testing 'shell' called IASDT that facilitates the development of diagnostic tests, tutorials, and drill and practice suites.
