Abstract

Let G⊃PSL(2, R) be a Fuchsian group of the first kind with no elements of finite order, and let S 2m V be the 2 m-fold symmetric power of the standard representation V of SL(2, R) on C2. We determine the value of the Kronecker pairing between the canonical image of a mixed cusp form f of type (2,2 m) in H 1(G, S 2m V) and a cycle g ⊗Q g m in H 1 (G, (S 2m V)*) for each g in G, where Q g m is an element of (S 2m V)* associated to g, m and a monodromy representation of G. © 1991 Springer-Verlag.
