Abstract

Teachers of middle-, junior-high, and high-school earth science are eager to receive updated information and to participate in hands-on learning experiences. To serve this interest and need, the Department of Earth Science at the University of Northern Iowa hosts an annual inservice conference for Iowa teachers. A typical conference includes presentations of UNI staff members, scientists from state agencies, and teachers of secondary-school earth science. -from Authors
