Abstract
The purpose of this article is twofold. First, using official Russian statistics, the paper reveals data on the movement of prices and real output production in the Russian Federation for the period of 1991-1993. Second, on the basis of economic theory, it will attempt to explain the major trends in the country's price level and output production during this period and to search for possible solutions. -Author
