Abstract
A novel wavelength-encoded angular rotation sensor is proposed, which utilizes the surface plasmon resonance effect. The sensor uses an attenuated total reflection device, and is configured so that the angular displacement is encoded as the wavelength of maximum transmission through the sensor.
