Abstract
The Industrial Technology Department at the University of Northern Iowa offers a four-year undergraduate degree in electro-mechanical systems with two options; electro-mechanical engineering technology and industrial supervision and management. Both options have a strong emphasis in applied industrial controls. This paper gives a brief overview of the course of study, lab experiences, goals, and outcome of this programme. © 2000 American Automatic Control Council.
