Physical education for women;

Abstract

Physical educators are concerned with the attitudes held by their students toward physical education as a class activity. One main reason for this concern is that activities learned in high school physical education class are hopefully carried over into adult life to aid the individual in maintaining hie level of total fitness. In order to obtain the full benefits of a comprehensive physical education program a student must actively participate in the program. A negative attitude toward physical education activity or toward the class can affect an individual's degree of participation. Physical educators usually feel that an individual who does not obtain satisfaction from participation in physical education class is not as apt to pursue physical activity in a recreational setting in adult life.
