This study explores the enduring impact of redlining on the distribution and upkeep of Waterloo, IA's community resources such as schools and childcare facilities. It assesses how these historical policies affect community development and individual well-being. Through a combination of GIS and qualitative methods, the goal is to highlight disparities in the availability and standard of vital services due to past and present socio-economic factors. This analysis will aid policymakers, urban planners, and advocates in bridging Waterloo's social equity gaps.
