Abstract
The former Thunder Ridge Mall in Cedar Falls, Iowa is being reconstructed as a Wellness Center that can house various medical specialties under one roof in order to serve the growing population in the area. A Wellness Center, also known as a Medical Mall, offers health services for the body and mind. These centers have the ability to deliver care more effectively, efficiently, and flexibly and to help address constantly evolving public health needs while promoting local economic development.
CVS, as a long term tenant, will be staying in the space while the rest of the building will be developed with new leasable tenant spaces. Within the space there will include conference rooms for collaboration, telehealth spaces for virtual care, and public seating to make the space more inviting for its visitors. Corridor spaces are designed with natural elements to be more pleasant to users of the space. Large atrium spaces allow for vertical connection and viewing. There are various places for local artwork to be displayed.
