Abstract
This semester, I volunteered at Riverview Center, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of sexual and domestic assault. I assisted with their fundraising efforts which included calling local businesses around the Cedar Valley area, putting together gift baskets for the silent auction, and assisting with their biggest fundraising event of the year, which will be held later in April. This volunteering opportunity helped me gain knowledge about the importance of having these resources available, and also how nonprofits work to help fund these services. I am excited to be able to use this experience in my future endeavors.
