Abstract

“…Four Feet High & Rising” is a look at how the rapidly expanding banks of Devil’s Lake in North Dakota is affecting the region’s finances, wildlife, infrastructure, and more. It looks at the steps that the state government is taking in order to protect its citizens while simultaneously maintaining and preserving their natural resources. The situation at Devil’s Lake is unprecedented at the moment, but the way that it is handled could be a template for similar phenomena in the future.
