Abstract
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is broad term for a collection of severe psychological disorders characterized by long-standing and extreme instability as reflected in employment, education, relationship patterns, and self-image. Persons diagnosed with BPD can be identified by their odd, dramatic, emotional, erratic, anxious, and fearful behaviors. The etiology of BPD is usually thought to be multi-factorial including neurochemical abnormalities, genetic factors, and environmental childhood trauma (Durand & Barlow, 2003).
