Abstract
We devised the egalitarian-traditional relationship attitudes scale (ETRAS) to assess the extent to which individuals feel persons should be treated independently of their gender in heterosexual romantic relationships. This scale builds on previous scales by updating language, focusing only on relationships, and examining attitudes regarding relationships that are not limited to marriage. The scale shows good reliability and validity.
