Abstract
This experiment will measure whether or not a sexual double standard exists at a small, Midwestern University in Iowa. Participants will be told that the experiment is to measure the accuracy of predicting the behaviors of fellow students to prevent socially acceptable answers. They will be given basic information concerning an "average student". The sex and the description of the target's sexual behavior will differ in each transcript. After the subjects read the transcript they will be given an evaluation form to fill out as to their perception of the target in the transcript. The scores will be compared as to the sex of the subject and the sex of the target to demonstrate a difference in how males and females are perceived based on their sexual behavior.
