Abstract
This study will use three inventory scales from Rubin (1970), and Hendrick (1988) to evaluate the importance of relationship satisfaction. The inventories will focus on satisfaction within a current relationship. A convenience sample was performed to find and survey individuals who were currently in a relationship. Relationship satisfaction will be compared from a gender aspect and also from a relationship length aspect. It is predicted that differences will arise between the sexes. Females will rate their male partners higher than the males will rate their female partners. I also believe an overall higher rating will be found among those individuals involved in a long-term relationships (over one year) over those involved in relationship under a year in length.
