Abstract

The third annual Undergraduate Social Science Research Conference was held on April 27, 1996 on the Northern Iowa campus. This conference is designed to encourage undergraduate students to become involved in research and to formulate and execute their own research projects. Sponsors include the Psychology Club/Psi Chi and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Financial support was received through a grant from Norwest Banks. At the conference students have the opportunity to present their own research. They also have opportunities to learn more about social research topics from other students, former students, and from a Guest Speaker and Keynote Speaker. Those students not presenting research have an opportunity to see what their peers are capable of, to see what the possibilities are for getting involved in research, and to begin formulating research plans for the coming year.
