Project Summary
This project is designed to address the challenge of food insecurity in Northeast Iowa as well as promoting a program of community engagement. “Little Free Pantries” are small and will augment the food disparity in Northeast Iowa and bring awareness the issue of food insecurity while at the same time promoting community togetherness. This program is designed as a grassroots, neighborhood sourced solution to immediate and local need. Whether a need for food or a need to give, the Little Free Pantries will facilitate neighbors helping neighbors, building community.
