Project Summary
Students of foundations in art education went to Waterloo senior center, they interacted and listened to senior citizens. Students collected stories from the senior citizens about growing up in The Cedar Valley and the changes that happened over the years. After that art education students worked with Metro homeschool network to create artwork inspired by these stories. On April 11 the artwork will be exhibited at the Waterloo senior center. Senior citizens, UNI art education students and homeschool students will be invited to the opening as a way to connect the three generations. Also, Blessed Maria Assunta Middle School students created blank journals to be sold as a way to raise money for the Meals on Wheels program in Black Hawk County.
