Bakari Behavioral Health, Inc. is a Waterloo based support and counseling facility dealing with adolescents from the age 5 -18. It is under the umbrella of Social Action, Inc., also an outlet for hearing, checking, and supporting, social justice issues and actions within the Waterloo, and surrounding areas. Despite the low socio-economic area, and standing of most of the residents, Bakari continues to address and offer solutions for the family. Utilizing the behavioral issues of the children, Bakari begins to demonstrate the process of helping, one family member at a time. Beginning with the children, the family is engulfed into the folds of the Bakari family, and offered tools to cope with issues of the family, the community and society as a whole.
