Abstract

This study will be looking at the relationship between the stress levels in youth and their time spent outside, and how college students are more stressed than ever before. Most literature suggests that the more time that a youth spends outside forming connections with nature, the lower their reported stress levels will be. However, the youth of today have the worst mental health in thirty years. The idea behind the paper is that youth are becoming more stressed and thus college students are more stressed, and if nature connections are formed then lower stress levels will be observed.
