Abstract
Almost anything gets respect in our country today except genuine moral integrity, traditional families, and deference to Judeo-Christian values. Ethical relativism, "values-free," and "multicultural" describe the philosophy not just in the media or the universities but increasingly in our schools and cities as well. In the national rush to be liberated from the defining values and moral heritage of Western Civilization, we are almost now becoming de-civilized and decadent. The foundation of our uniqueness as a nation is being disregarded irresponsibly with expected, ominous consequences. The very qualities that have contributed to our nation's greatness have met a growing opposition, even hostility at times, in the public arena since the counter-culture decade of the sixties. We have almost gotten used to personal irresponsibility, pervasive violence, sexual aberrations, dysfunctional homes, and abuse of every kind.
