Abstract
In our society, parents are primarily responsible for teaching morality to their children. Parents may delegate certain teaching roles to religious or public institutions, but they cannot escape the responsibility for the outcome of that teaching. Our public institutions must look to the family for the authority to teach morality and the content of that morality. Unfortunately, the prevailing idea in education is relativism. There are no universal moral values we can all agree upon, so we don't teach any.
