Abstract
Whose children? Whose schools? An interesting title. Indeed, an interesting theme. The answer may not be so clear if one weighs all of the possible responses that can be attained. Parents, teachers, administrators, school boards, corporate attorneys, the local paper carrier, the children themselves, all may have a different answer or a different thought on this subject.
Children today come to school much the same as they have done the past 50 years, but, at the same time, dissimilar from the past 50 years. Children seem to bring so much more baggage with them now. Why? The answer, or attempt to give one, is a part of this paper.
