Abstract
The American educational system has found itself in a cultural dilemma. No, not the standard issues of ethnic and racial diversity, but a plight created by a cultural ethic and value system that has penetrated our thinking and formed our educational paradigm. The United States' educational community is presently embroiled in a discussion centering on restructuring, a conversation that attempts to solve a problem by considering a new structure, a change of organization.
