Abstract
The essential elements of a quality teacher preparation program are a clear mission, a faculty committed to and focused on that mission, carefully selected student candidates, a comprehensive curriculum and a well planned induction process. Without any one of these elements, the program fails to adequately prepare teachers for our nation's schools.
