Abstract
The following discussion synthesizes the beliefs and ideas of the group whose topic was "appropriate role models for people of color in education." This report, also, includes group recommendations for solving the problem of underrepresentation of people of color in education. It is hoped that these solutions will find audiences among local and federal policymakers, school districts, universities, and the business community. Role models do make a difference in the lives of children. The major objective, therefore, is to increase the presence of appropriate role models in education for people of color.
