2017 Annual Graduate Student Symposium

Welcome to the 10th Annual Graduate Student Symposium at the University of Northern Iowa! As we celebrate the tenth year of the event, we can say we have come a long way from the first time we held the event in 2008. We started with a simple two-hour event held in the Great Reading Room. We have grown since then not only in the length of the program, the number of graduate student presenters, but also in what we offer our students to help them develop their professional skills for presenting their scholarship and creative work. Our goal now, as it was back when we first started, is to showcase the important work being done by our graduate students who are making a difference in the lives of people in the State of Iowa and across the nation. This year we have 81 student presenters and have 35 faculty judges taking part in the Graduate Student Symposium. -- Kavita Dhanwada, Dean, Graduate College

The Annual Graduate Student Symposium is coordinated by the Graduate College.
