Information about Lecturer

Dr. Berger received his Ph.D. from UCLA and is currently Professor of Sociology and Chair of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. He reaches courses and has published widely in the areas of Holocaust studies, disability studies, and sociological criminology. Berger's books on the Holocaust include Fathoming the Holocaust: A Social Problems Approach and Constructing a Collective Memory of the Holocaust: A Life History of Two Brothers' Survival. Berger has also received his university's highest awards in both teaching and research, as well as the Wisconsin Sociological Association's William H. Sewell Outstanding Scholarship Award.
