Information about Lecturer

This year’s ceremony will feature a presentation by Beverly Nagel Ellis of Des Moines, the daughter of Holocaust survivors, who spent most of the first five years of her life in a displaced persons camp in Germany before her family emigrated to the United States. Beverly will reflect on her family’s survival of the Holocaust and their experiences after the end of World War II. She will share photographs of the DP camp as well as artifacts related to her family’s experiences.
