Abstract

The simple staining apparatus illustrated in the accompanying diagram was devised to take the place of the more expensive staining jars sold by most of the scientific supply houses. Besides the cheapness of the outfit, which fits into any tumbler, there is the added advantage that all of the slides being stained may be removed from the jar at once and may be rinsed while still in the frame. Fourteen slides may be inserted into the frame at one time, which is four more than the average staining jar holds.
