In my 36 years at the University of Northern Iowa Center for Urban Education, during my time as a BIG 10 official, and throughout my personal life, open and honest communication has been the cornerstone of my success. During my keynote, I'll share how fostering transparency and open dialogue has helped me to build lasting relationships, overcome obstacles, and continuously grow in both professionally and personally settings. I'll highlight the power of human connections - how open communication creates opportunities to connect, collaborate, and move forward together. One negative experience doesn't define the future; instead, embracing open communication creates space for improvement, understanding, and forward momentum.
