Abstract
A panel of community representatives from foundations, banks, the media, schools, government, and the University of Northern Iowa were assembled to explore partnerships in relation to examination of the expectations of partners, and investigate the possibilities within partnerships. Each panelist was asked to respond in writing to questions concerning partnerships. The responses to the questions that follow were provided by Mary Ann Burk, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Waterloo and Northeast Iowa; Jeff Eaton who is President of Norwest Bank Iowa, Cedar Valley; Jim Krieg, Director of Developmental Services for the City of Cedar Falls; Linda Klinger, Executive Director of the McElroy Trust; Sharon Juon who is Executive Director of the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments (INRCOG); and Michelle Temeyer, Director of Partners in Education. In addition, Ruth Ratliff who is Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the University of Northern Iowa, addressed dispelling myths which block partnerships.
