Abstract

The President's Environmental Youth Awards program encourages individuals, schools, summer camps and youth organizations to promote local environmental awareness and to channel this awareness into positive community involvement. Projects may involve almost any constructive form of environmental activity, for example, restoring damaged environments, protecting sensitive wetlands or enhancing community interest and involvement in environmental activities
