Abstract

The University of Iowa is offering three Secondary Student Training Programs (SSTP) in the summer of 1986. The goals of these programs are to supplement the high school curriculum, stimulate student interaction with scientists and educators, facilitate career planning and decision making, provide a smooth transition from high school to college, provide opportunities for enrichment and acceleration in science, and allow students to take an active role in science.
